Proclaiming the Word of God
The Lector is responsible for reading to the congregation the first and second readings from the gospel as well as make the weekly announcements and the mass intentions for the parish.

What is involved?
Lectors use keywords from the priest as signals to begin reading the material provided for that part of the mass.
Lectors are needed for reading at the 5PM Saturday mass, the 9AM and 11AM Sunday masses, and special occasions (feasts and holidays).
