5 TWENTY-SEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

RDGS:       Is 5:1-7       Ps 80:9,12-16,19-20       Phil 4:6-9      Mt 21:33-43
The vineyard of the Lord is the house of Israel (1, Ps). At vintage time the master will return to receive the harvest. May we bear fruit in plenty, and be pleasing in his sight (3) by living lives that are marked by love and respect (2).


6 Monday: Weekday [27]; Bruno, priest; Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher; virgin (USA)

RDGS:       Gal 1:6-12       Ps 111:1b-2,7-9,10c       Lk 10:25-37
False tendencies are condemned by Paul. The revelation of Jesus (1) is wrought in truth (Ps). We are called to love as God loves (2).


7 Tuesday: Our Lady of the Rosary

RDGS:       Gal 1:13-24       Ps 139:1b-3,13-15       Lk 10:38-42
Set apart by God even before he was born (Ps), Paul needs no mandate to preach to the Gentiles (1). Let us await the kingdom and serve the Lord by being attentive to his word (2).


8 Wednesday: Weekday [27]

RDGS:       Gal 2:1-2,7-14       Ps 117:1bc,2       Lk 11:1-4
Paul's mission to the Gentiles (Ps) is approved by the Jerusalem church (1). All are invited to address God as "Father" (2).


9 Thursday: Weekday [27]; Denis, bishop, martyr, and his companions, martyrs; John Leonardi, priest

RDGS:       Gal 3:1-5       (Ps) Lk 1:69-75       Lk 11:5-13
Blessed be God (Ps) whose Spirit is received not through legalistic practices, but through faith (1). Be confident in prayer for God is a loving Father (2).


10 Friday: Weekday [27]

RDGS:       Gal 3:7-14       Ps 111:1b-6       Lk 11:15-26
Jesus has overcome the ravages of sin (2) and division. Through the covenant (Ps) made in his blood, we are saved by faith, not by external observances (1).


11 Saturday: Weekday [27]; BVM on Saturday

RDGS:       Gal 3:22-29       Ps 105:2-7       Lk 11:27-28
Through baptism we have been clothed in Christ (1) who has done wondrous deeds (Ps). We are to hear the word and keep it (2).
